Live Review: THE AMERICAN RELICS Debuts at Chelsea Table & Stage 12/29/23 in NYC

THE AMERICAN RELICS made their debut appearance at the trendy new nightspot Chelsea Table & Stage in New York City and they killed it! Frontman John Gitano, guitarists Neal Lazar, drummer Josh Salant, bassist Nelson Montana, vocalist Adrienne Dugger and guitarist/vocalist Patti Jarman shined on stage with their original hits and their sparkling covers.

They brilliantly began their set with “Ticket to Ride”, a Beatles classic, something an audience who wasn’t familiar with the fraction would feel right at home with. They then showcased a deluge of their original songs, some already radio hits and YouTube extravaganzas. In between their authentic tracks they introduced a cover by The Rolling Stones and others, but very easily made those songs their own.

For those who missed out THE AMERICAN RELICS are a nostalgic based band whose influences stem from past musical eras but  magically they are able to transform their sound into relevant songs of today and songs you might celebrate in the near future. They are all accomplished musicians in their own right and have been playing and singing forever in separate projects, exampling vocalist Adrienne Dugger who is an international opera star turned rocker. John Gitano lead vocalist and guitarist extraordinaire founded the band and is the main songwriter. Nelson Montana is a driven and energetic bassist and a multi-instrumentalist who is a major producer as well. Josh Salant is a major drummer and musical engineer, Patti Jarman and Neal Lazar are the newest members of the band and both are celebrated guitarists although Patti’s voice can be heard doing various harmonies. The band is currently signed to Tribeca Records (a NY based label) and was introduced tonight by label owner John “SohoJohnny” Pasquale.

When we look back in time what do we remember best? The sweet repeated patterns of our ordinary lives or the days that sparkled with the sheen of something different? THE AMERICAN RELICS give us the gift is memory in either case through their song, and their journey.

Their performance closed with a grand finale climax causing the audience to rush to the front of the stage and sing, smile and applaud ……
